Hanart TZ Gallery was a pioneering contemporary Chinese art gallery when it was founded by Chang Tsong-zung (Johnson Chang) in Hong Kong in 1983. The gallery has maintained its place at the forefront of the Chinese contemporary art world, continuing to promote emerging artists from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Johnson Chang is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on Chinese contemporary art, curating exhibitions and giving lectures all over the world. Hanart actively participates in international art fairs and biennials. Chang has curated exhibitions at both the São Paolo Biennial and Venice Biennale.
