Hanart TZ Gallery was a pioneering contemporary Chinese art gallery when it was founded by Chang Tsong-zung (Johnson Chang) in Hong Kong in 1983. Hanart TZ has maintained its place at the forefront of the Chinese contemporary art world, as it continues to promote emerging artists from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Johnson Chang is considered to be one of the world’s leading authorities on Chinese contemporary art, curating exhibitions and giving lectures all over the world. Hanart actively participates in international art fairs and biennials. Chang has curated exhibitions at both the São Paolo Biennial and Venice Biennale.
