Founded in 1968, Vanderven Oriental Art is considered one of the world’s leading international dealers in the field of Chinese export porcelain, and occasionally Chinese porcelain made in the Chinese taste from the 17th and 18th centuries. An impressive selection of terracotta sculptures dating from the Han Dynasty (206 BC – AD 220) and Tang Dynasty (618 – 907), ranging from prancing horses, farm animals, fat ladies and vessels, can also be found in the collection. Another range of objects offered by the gallery includes Chinese works of art such as early bronzes, jade and lacquer ware.
