Located in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) is scheduled to open in 2022. HKPM is a collaborative project between the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Palace Museum in Beijing, often known as the Forbidden City. The design and construction of HKPM, at an estimated cost of HKD3.5 billion, is fully supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Offering Hong Kong and international perspectives, the museum will create dynamic and innovative exhibition and public programmes, and present other art exhibitions from around the world.
