CHARBON was established in 2015 in Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong by French art collector and curator Lalie Choffel. Specialising in international contemporary photography, CHARBON holds exhibitions, artist residencies, talks, workshops, screenings and many other events to question the place of photography in today’s art world, and promote international artists in the field. In the past three years, CHARBON has organised 14 exhibitions featuring worldwide acclaimed French photographer Antoine d’Agata and artists Cyril Carret, Raphaele de Broissia, Doreen Chan, Movana Chen, Regis Gonzalez, Claire Lee, Anne Leigniel, Emmanuel Monzon, Mayco Naing, Mynzayar Oo, Was Nu and Tun Win Aung.  CHARBON collectors are from Australia, Austria, England, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and USA.
