Representing sought-after artists from around the world, The Spectacle Group is a contemporary art gallery founded by Jaime Lau in 2013. It prides itself in its roster of artists whose works offer unique perspectives, taken from the depth and richness of their life experiences and cultural backgrounds. With a passion for exploring art in the Web3 space, it also launched Hong Kong’s first NFTs by an art gallery in 2021.
The Spectacle Group aims to enrich the lives of art collectors and enthusiasts by often showcasing NFT and physical art alongside each other. Its approach is experimental and unexpected, encouraging visitors to reform their perception of what art is and the role it can play in everyday life.
Hosting unique art events at its Kowloon Tong space, including world firsts such as Adam Neate’s solo show ‘Two Worlds’, The Spectacle Group also boasts an artist residency devoted to supporting international artists seeking inspiration in Hong Kong’s environment to create site-specific works or to further their creative development as a whole. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artists to experience and become part of their creative process.
